‘Stop the Presses’ the Theme for RVing in New England Tonight

“Stop the presses” was a common phrase once upon a time that was used in situations where a huge piece of news came out that was so big a newspaper would have to stop their printing presses so they could rewrite the front page.

Newspapers may be all but gone these days, but the phrase lives on, and for good reason: The past couple of years – first with COVID and now with Russia’s attack on Ukraine – have given Americans a few ‘stop the presses’ moments.

The effects of COVID are still being felt, and along with the first hostile invasion in Europe since World War II comes headlines such as out-of-control inflation, a sharp rise in gas prices, supply chain disruptions, empty store shelves, labor shortages and an industry – this one – that’s dealing with a serious consolidation in ownership even while it’s experiencing boom times like it never has.

“So tonight we’ll ‘stop the presses,’ take a deep breath and have an informal discussion with our fans about their feelings now that they have several consumer RV shows under their belt and start to make reservations at their favorite campgrounds or new ones along the way as they see more of New England and the country this year,” said Bob Zagami, co-host of the weekly online program, RVing in New England. “How have the events of the past few months, and today’s headlines, changed your thinking about the upcoming camping season? What’s on your mind today? What are your plans for tomorrow?”

RVing in New England is co-hosted by Zagami and John DiPietro, and it will air tonight at 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT, here.
