Storm Turns Iowa Dealership Into ‘World War III’

The powerful storm that hit near Atlantic, Iowa, left significant damage behind.

The lot at AC Nelson’s RV World has a little more than 75 RVs but after Friday’s storm, more than half of them were left upside down or smashed into other RVs. Some were completely destroyed.

This story by Niyah Gonzalez originally appeared on KETV News 7.

Terry Moore, a sales consultant at AC Nelson’s, said he saw the tornado headed toward the lot 30 minutes before he left for shelter. When he returned to the lot he says it “looked like World War III.”

Luckily, there are a few untouched camper’s and RVs that can be sold to customers. But they can’t get back in business until they are finished dealing with insurance.
