Suburban Manufacturing, an Airxcel brand, recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of employee Jesse Fine. Art Klee, company president, made the presentation during a ceremony the company threw in Fine’s honor.
Fine is a welder with the company and has also held positions in the stamping and assembly departments.
“When I started with Suburban, I thought I would work here for a few months and then get a higher-paying job in Chattanooga, Tenn. I decided it wasn’t worth the drive and stayed on here,” he said. “Back then we were making clothes dryers, home heating products and another heater that evolved into the RV furnace we know today.”
“Jesse embodies those traits that make Suburban a leader in the RV industry: commitment, hard work and unparalleled service,” said Klee. “I personally thank him for the years of dedicated contributions he has made to our company so far. We’re honored to have him on our team.”
According to its Wichita, Kan. parent company, Suburban, founded in 1947, has a history of long-time employees and product experts. Two currently have more than 50 years of service to the company, 64 have achieved 40 years and 88 have completed 30 years.
