Sunset Park RV welcomed owners back to Shipshewana North Campground for its 4th Annual Owner Rally, bringing together familiar faces, first-time attendees, employees and industry partners for one of the company’s most anticipated weekends of the year.
The excitement started before the first scheduled activity. As campers arrived, the owners’ group filled with posts from people who were all set up and excited to be there, along with responses from past attendees saying how much they missed the group. That feeling carried through the entire weekend: good times for all, stories from many, laughter everywhere and a real sense of togetherness.
Owners spent the weekend reconnecting around campsites and campfires, sharing ideas and trailer modifications, enjoying meals and local buggy rides, and getting to know the people behind the trailers. The relaxed setting also gave Sunset Park RV employees another chance to listen directly to customers and bring their feedback back to the factory.
“The trailers may be what brings everyone here, but the people are what make this weekend special,” said Bob Fish, chief administrative officer of Sunset Park RV. “You hear stories at one campsite, laughter at the next, and every once in a while you get a little of that Sunset Park RV craziness. I still stand by it: we have the happiest group of campers out there.”
A major part of the rally was the work performed by Sunset Park RV’s production team, which serviced customer units during the event. Team members handled customer needs with a different sense of pride they bring to the production floor, while also taking time to visit with owners outside the factory setting.
“Our production team worked through customer units as needed – and yes, we made sure they stopped long enough to eat,” Fish added. “They gave up part of their weekend to take care of our customers, and we all could not be more thankful for them.”
Sunset Park RV extends a special thank-you to Tiffany Wedderburn, Patty Motini, Chris Daniel and Karla McDonald for stepping up on behalf of the ownership team and taking the lead on much of the planning and execution. Their time, organization and willingness to help were a major part of making the weekend run smoothly.
The company also thanks the vendors and partners whose donations helped fill the weekend with seminars, prizes and giveaways: Dexter Axle, Great Lakes, Capital Tape, Patrick/Adorn, Genesis, Global Link, LaVanture, Chris O’Brien Sales, Dave Carter, Ecko Plastics and Dura Faucet. Contributions included hats, shirts, cups, blankets, camping chairs, gift cards, camping gear and other items enjoyed by rally attendees.
Sunset Park RV also said it thanks the owners and staff of Shipshewana North Campground for once again providing a welcoming home for the rally, along with everyone who helped prepare meals, coordinate activities and keep the weekend moving. The sounds of Roy & Steve kept the energy going as customers rocked out and enjoyed the music together.
Most of all, Sunset Park RV thanks its customers. Their loyalty, ideas, humor and willingness to share their experiences continue to shape both the annual rally and the products built for future owners. Planning is already beginning for the 5th Annual Owner Rally, with the goal of welcoming even more members of the Sunset Park RV family.
