Supply Chain Issues Vex 2022 Augusta RV Show

The 2022 Augusta RV Show takes place this Friday, March 18, through Sunday, March 20, at the Augusta Civic Center in Maine.

Event organizers say more than 60 RVs will be on hand, along with various vendors that serve the RV market, including campgrounds. However, they also issued a statement warning that the show’s inventory will not be what attendees expect it to be, or what organizers would like it to be.

“There will be no pop-up campers and motorhomes will be very limited,” reads the statement on the show’s website. “Unfortunately, there will be no Class A and possibly only a couple of Class C motorhomes displayed at the show due to supply chain challenges from motorhome manufacturers this year. Please take note as there are no refunds once you enter the show.”

That said, one participant noted that “this is the most campers inside a building for an RV Show this year north of Boston. It is by far the largest RV Show in Maine and has been for several years.”

He also disputed the organizer’s statement somewhat by saying that it wasn’t necessarily supply chain issues that were determining what types of units would be on display, but rather dealer preferences and their intention to display the types of units that they know the public has been gravitating toward.
