In light of the loss of life and property in the Texas Hill Country, the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) will be reaching out to parks all across that area in the coming days to find out the extent of their damage, lost business or loss of life.

Additionally, TACO has established a GoFundMe to begin the process of accepting donations for those parks or persons in need.

The association started the fund with $2,500 and would appreciate any additional support for fellow industry friends as they climb out from under these unanticipated circumstances.

The following message is from the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO):

It is with a heavy heart that we are following the tremendous and tragic loss of life and property in the Texas Hill Country. We will be reaching out to parks all across that area in the coming days to find out the extent of their damage, lost business or worse, loss of life. We’ll report accordingly.

Meanwhile, we have established a GoFundMe link to begin the process of accumulating funds to disperse to those parks or persons in need. The association started the fund with $2,500, and we’d appreciate anything you can do to help your fellow industry friends as they climb out from under these horrific and unanticipated circumstances.

Additionally, you may wish to make an in-kind contribution to help those who have and are suffering. Examples of that might be:

  • Parks offering complimentary sites to owners, managers, staff or guests of affected parks.
  • Vendors offering discounted or complimentary goods or services to parks damaged or destroyed by this disaster.

Your heartfelt contributions are greatly appreciated. Mother nature can truly wreak havoc at times, and it is the spirit of the people of Texas and nationwide throughout industry that makes RVing and camping so special.
