Tariff Update: Taiwan

The RV Industry Association recently released the following tariff updates:

Taiwan

Update – Feb. 17, 2026:  On Thursday, Feb. 12, the United States announced a new Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) with Taiwan. Under the ART, all Taiwanese goods currently subject to most favored nation (MFN) baseline tariffs below 15% will be adjusted to a 15% rate (by applying an additional IEEPA tariff), while products already facing tariffs above 15% will not incur any additional increases. Certain products listed in Annex III (also known as the Potential Tariff Adjustments for Aligned Partners Annex or PTAAP) will be subject to a 0% reciprocal tariff. Additionally, Taiwan has committed to reducing or eliminating 99% of its tariff barriers and addressing longstanding non-tariff barriers, particularly in the automotive, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries.

The deal will take effect one day after both parties submit in writing to each other confirmation of completed internal procedures.
