Team RV Express Expands Operations
Middlebury, Ind.-based RV transport company Team RV Express is expanding its operations for the fifth consecutive year. A new corporate recruiting office was purchased in July along with a four and one-half acres storage facility on U.S. Highway 12 in White Pigeon, Mich., said Mike McGee, company president.
“We really didn’t expect to be doing anything on this large a scale this year,” said McGee, “but the strong RV market combined with our ‘Ready to Roll’ program has forced us to make another move, so we can keep up with the demand.”
McGee and his father-in-law and partner, Peter Tremblay, founded Team RV Express in 2007 using dealer pick up (DPU) strategies as its business model to transport RVs to dealerships. In 2012 McGee and his wife, Kelly, bought out Tremblay thus ensuring the company’s legacy.
“The primary intent of the new building is to provide a site away from the hectic day-to-day activities at which new drivers can be recruited and then orientated,” said McGee. “The building is nearly brand new and very attractive. It is a great location for us and we feel fortunate to have it.”
With two buildings housing a total of 10 PDI bays, both companies appear poised to continue growing.
“Our growth in 2019 will come from new accounts, new markets and a new proprietary cap protection system we will be offering our customers,” McGee said.
