The deadline for RV techs to apply to take the current RV Dealers Association’s/RV Industry Association’s registered technician test or the full certification test is Dec. 31.
The application must include payment and be submitted by midnight.
The first test attempt must be completed by March 31. Retesting will be allowed up to 90 days after the initial test is completed. No retests will be allowed after June 30.
“As we begin a new era of technician certification and training through the RV Technical Institute, RVIA and RVDA will be working to make a smooth transition as we sunset the current RVDA/RVIA technician certification program,” said RV Industry Association President Craig Kirby and RVDA President Phil Ingrassia in a joint statement.
