Terex’s Recreational Vehicles segment unveiled its model year 2027 (MY27) lineup during its recent Dealer Summit in Indianapolis, introducing new connectivity, off-grid and luxury travel enhancements across American Coach, Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler and Renegade RV brands.
The showcase also marked the debut of the new Renegade Explorer TS, a Class 8 Super C coach designed to expand Renegade RV’s heavy-duty luxury lineup.
Across multiple MY27 models, Terex RV brands introduced expanded lithium battery systems, larger inverter capacities, upgraded solar packages and enhanced connectivity features, including available factory-installed Starlink systems on select Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler coaches, the company said.
“Connectivity and off-grid capability are becoming expected features across multiple RV segments,” said Gary Gunter, president of Terex RV Segment. “Our MY27 lineup reflects changing customer expectations while continuing to deliver the comfort, durability and freedom RV owners want.”
New Renegade Explorer TS Targets Heavy-Duty Super C Segment
Built on the Freightliner Cascadia 116 chassis, the new Renegade Explorer TS (Twin Screw) adds a second powered rear axle for increased carrying capacity, towing capability and stability.
The Explorer TS comes standard with:
- Three air conditioning units
- 12.5kW generator
- Aqua-Hot 450D hydronic heating
- 540Ah lithium battery system (scalable to 1080Ah)
- 600-watt solar package (scalable to 1,000 watts)
- Recordable 360-degree camera system
- Electric dump valves
- Factory-installed Starlink
The coach also introduces a new optional cab-over bunk configuration available on both Explorer and Explorer TS models for added sleeping capacity and storage flexibility.
“Customers asked for greater capability in a luxury Super C platform, and the Explorer TS delivers that,” said Victor Quezada, Renegade RV product manager. “From increased carrying capacity to upgraded climate control and power systems, this coach was designed for extended travel without compromise.”
MY27 Technology & Power Upgrades
Renegade RV models for MY27 feature expanded lithium offerings, upgraded inverter systems and increased solar capabilities designed to support longer off-grid stays.
Additional drivability and safety enhancements across the lineup include:
- Recordable 360-degree camera systems
- Suspension upgrades
- Enhanced braking systems
- Improved visibility technologies
Interior design across all brands continues to evolve toward a more residential aesthetic. American Coach introduced premium audio systems, heated tile flooring and refined cabinetry, while Renegade expanded residential-style construction with upgraded materials, panoramic kitchen windows and integrated storage solutions. New décor packages, hardware finishes and furniture designs across Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler further elevate the in-coach living experience.
The MY27 lineup is now available for dealer orders, with retail availability expected later this year.
