Barry Eckel has been appointed executive VP for Thetford America. Eckel will lead all facets of Thetford and Norcold’s business in the Americas and will report directly to Thetford Corp. CEO Stephane Cordeille. Most recently, Eckel served as VP of sales and marketing.
Also, Mary Pouliot has been promoted to VP of sales and marketing, reporting directly to Eckel. Pouliot most recently served as director of OEM sales and service.
“I’m pleased to promote from within two talented and experienced individuals to fill two important leadership positions,” said Cordeille. “In addition to strong, long-term relationships and a breadth of experience within our companies, Barry and Mary enjoy very close relationships with our customers.”
Eckel joined Thetford and Norcold in 2014 following a 24-year career at Meritor where he held numerous leadership positions in the automotive aftermarket, powersports, and commercial vehicle sectors. He last served as senior director of global OEM sales before moving to Thetford.
“Barry has demonstrated strong leadership in every position that he’s held throughout his career,” said Cordeille. “I look forward to him continuing to provide that great leadership throughout our entire organization.”
Originally a consultant to Thetford, Pouliot joined the company as director of customer service in 2006 and was promoted to director of OEM sales and service in 2015. Pouliot is actively involved on the MARVAC board of directors and is an RV Industry Association-leading advocate for technician training and education.
“Her time in customer-focused positions within our organization and long-time leadership roles in the industry will serve our customers well,” said Cordeille, “both now and in the future.”
