Thetford, Norcold Training Reaches Hallmark

Thetford Corp. and Norcold recently estimated that more than 400 service techs will attend its training in 25 upcoming service schools – including stops in Idaho, North Carolina and Utah – on the Thetford/Norcold docket for the final three months of 2018.

That figure is in addition to the 800 dealer and manufacturer service technicians who participated in 54 training classes around the U.S. and Canada from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30, the company reported.

In addition to conducting training of its own, Thetford and Norcold work in conjunction with other suppliers, the RV Industry Association and RV manufacturers to schedule service training.

“Thetford and Norcold have a long history of appreciation for and support of service techs,” said Mary Pouliot, vice president of sales and marketing. “As an industry leader, we recognized the importance of training – and that behind every RVer who loves the lifestyle there’s a service tech keeping his or her RV in tip-top shape.”

A trio of veteran trainers – Chris Black, Brent Grieves and Nathan Richards – will conduct the Thetford/Norcold’s classes and are already prepping for 2019 schools. Together, the trio boasts more than 90 years training experience.

Much of the service school scheduling is done through an RVIA portal. Dealers interested in learning more about future Thetford and Norcold Training Seminars should contact Heather Ing at hing@thetford.com.
