Tiffin Adds Aqua-Hot Hydronic Heating to Allegro
Tiffin Motorhomes recently debuted its much-awaited 2019 Allegro RED loaded with a host of upgraded features, including Aqua-Hot Heating Systems’ new 250D hydronic heating solution. The system provides 40,000 Btu per hour of distributed warmth without dry, blowing air, as well as continuous hot water.
The Aqua-Hot 250D uses diesel fuel and is operated by 12-volt DC for off-grid applications. When plugged into shore power, it can run on a 110-volt AC electric element. At only 21.6 inches long by 12.4 inches wide by 11.6 inches deep, it doesn’t take up much space within the Allegro RED, yet easily heats the close to 2,200-cubic-feet interior. It weighs 84 pounds empty and 113 pounds full.
“We chose the Aqua-Hot solution because it offers continuous hot water and consistent heating throughout, without the temperature variation you get with forced air,” said Andy Baer, Tiffin Motorhomes. “It also allows the coach to be propane-free.”
Tiffin’s Allegro RED features four slide-outs and is built on a Freightliner rear engine diesel chassis with a turbocharged and aftercooled Cummins ISB 6.7-liter engine.
