And if the stats are any indication, our readers are extremely interested in stories about the changing world of distribution, anything to do with acquisitions or consolidation and stories about innovations.
And true to those trends, several of the top stories of 2015 had to do with consolidation. The most-read story was about a manufacturer that closed and in sixth place was a story about a family-owned distributor that closed after struggling to recover from being embezzled by a former company president.
Two of our top-10 read stories had to do with Keystone Automotive’s purchase of Coast Distribution and subsequent changes in the executive team. And our fifth-place story broke when Thor division Heartland bought independent manufacturers Cruiser and DRV.
