Torklift International announced a shift in its manufacturing process by adopting stainless steel for its products.
Stainless steel offers a multitude of advantages over traditional mild steel, Torklift said, making it the preferred choice for various applications. Benefits include:
-
- Corrosion Resistance: The chromium content in stainless steel forms an invisible oxide barrier that resists rusting and pitting, even in wet environments or when exposed to acids, ensuring longevity and reliability while also maintaining the clean aesthetics of the vehicle.
- Precipitation Hardening: Stainless steel grades such as 17-4PH and 15-5P provide strength, making them ideal for applications requiring elasticity and crash resistance.
- Strength: Stainless steel maintains high tensile strength and durability, even in hazardous or pressurized environments. Some grades offer yield strengths exceeding 200,000 PSI, ensuring reliability under extreme conditions.
- Affordability: Stainless steel costs only a fraction of what more exotic alloys do, providing value for money. Additionally, its scrap value makes it a cost-effective choice through recycling.
To emphasize the benefits of stainless steel, Torklift will be conducting specialized sales training sessions, focusing on educating its team members about the advantages of using this material.
“By equipping our sales force with in-depth knowledge, we aim to better serve our customers and provide them with solutions that meet their needs effectively,” the company said in a release.
“We believe that by embracing stainless steel, we are setting a new standard of excellence in our industry. At Torklift, our commitment to quality and innovation drives us to continually seek ways to improve our products and provide maximum value to our customers.”
