The Elkhart County Plan Commission approved a zoning change Thursday morning by the Agnes B Blakesley Trust and Universal Trailer Corp., signifying the possible development of a new trailer manufacturing facility in the area, the Goshen News reports.

Universal Trailer Corp. owners are considering purchasing the property, a 43-acre parcel located on Country Road 4 and County Road 29, from the Blakesley Trust to convert the property into trailer manufacturing and outdoor storage facility.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company manufactures livestock, auto and equipment trailers under a variety of brands, including Haulmark in Bristol and Wells Cargo in Elkhart.
