For years, the company said it has supported the promotion of young talent and career choices through a wide range of CSR measures in the Upper Franconia region. The company’s daycare center, initiation and organization of the study and career orientation fair “Contacta HochFranken” and the development of the company’s multi-award-winning training concept “Education for Excellence” are examples of LAMILUX’s commitment. The company also offers courses for children along with a family event “A city plays STEM” to introduce children to STEM professions in a playful way.

The Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Community recognized nine Bavarian companies as best practice examples, which not only serve as a model for other companies, but also provide motivation for Bavarian companies to get involved in their home beyond core economic operations, the organization said.

“Today, the focus is on our home-based companies! Regionally rooted companies make an important contribution locally – they offer jobs close to home, promote inclusion and support voluntary and social commitment. Today’s nine award winners are great role models: they put a lot of time, money and heart and soul into shaping our homeland and take responsibility for our society,” said Füracker at the award ceremony on Monday. “With this award, we are recognizing the particularly important commitment of the companies to our free state. The civic side of entrepreneurial activity is more important than ever, especially in challenging times – it holds our society together. That’s exactly what makes Bavaria so unique.”

LAMILUX is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of daylight systems. It is also known for its solutions for building smoke extraction. In addition, the medium-sized family business, founded in 1909, is one of the world’s largest producers of carbon and glass fiber reinforced plastics. The company currently employs around 1,300 people and generated sales of around 392 million euros in 2022.
