Truma ‘Adopts’ Elkhart’s High Dive Park

Truma North America is the first corporate partner to support Indiana’s Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department and its new “Adopt-a-Park” program.

The company has pledged to volunteer time and resources to maintain and beautify High Dive Park.

Truma North America President and CEO Gerhard Hundsberger announced the sponsorship of High Dive Park during the company’s 10th anniversary party in September. To commemorate the milestone and celebrate this new partnership, each attendee received a specially designed coffee mug depicting the park in Truma’s signature blue. The High Dive Park mug is to be the first in a series. Truma plans to produce a collection highlighting other parks to sell, with the proceeds benefitting the Elkhart Parks department.

Truma North America is no stranger to civic responsibility or sustainability. Both values are part of Truma’s commitment to being “Simply Better.” The company started hosting an annual Earth Day clean-up in 2021 that has grown to include other members of the RV industry and the Elkhart community. While litter clean-up will be a focus of the company’s monthly volunteer efforts at High Dive Park, they will also assist with other projects throughout the year, including equipment maintenance, invasive species removal and landscaping.

While Truma North America’s park stewardship does not officially begin until 2024, Truma team members have already started to make an impact. Last week, more than a dozen Truma employees spent their Friday afternoon working on various projects in High Dive Park, including setting up for the annual fall pop-up market in High Dive Pavilion. Another significant undertaking was removing invasive honeysuckle plants along the riverbank to allow native species to be planted next spring.
