Truma To Host 5th Annual Spring Cleanup in Elkhart
Truma North America will host its 5th Annual Spring Cleanup on April 26 at Woodlawn Nature Center in Elkhart. The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with the Adopt-a-Park dedication of Woodlawn Nature Center. This is the second park Truma will sponsor under this program.

“We had the honor of being the first corporate sponsor of Elkhart’s Adopt-a-Park program when it launched in 2023. We have seen firsthand the impact our time has had on High Dive Park and look forward to seeing the progress we can make at Woodlawn Nature Center,” said Stacey Harris, head of marketing and retail sales for Truma North America.
Woodlawn Nature Center is on 10 acres of parkland, with walking trails and a natural history museum. Truma will assist with park maintenance projects such as cleaning up trash, preparing flower beds for spring, removing invasive species and maintaining trails. This is just the beginning of the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department’s long-term plan to breathe new life into this area.
“Woodlawn Nature Center has been a valuable community space for over 50 years. Many Elkhart residents have fond memories of enjoying the park with their families. Woodlawn is starting to show its age and, with Truma’s help, we plan to revitalize this space for families to enjoy now and for generations to come,” said Mandi Null, volunteer coordinator for Elkhart Parks and Recreation.
The Volunteer Program through the Elkhart Parks Department will supply a limited number of shovels, rakes, and other gardening tools, but attendees are welcome to bring their own tools and work gloves from home. It is recommended to wear comfortable, durable footwear, work gloves and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
This event is open to all, and Truma said it will have volunteer opportunities for all ages and skill levels. If you would like to volunteer, please sign-up here.
