VanDyke Retires After 46 Years Serving the Industry
After 46 years in the RV industry, Jerry VanDyke has officially retired effective July 31. David Copeland has taken over as sole president of VanDyke Enterprises.
VanDyke started his career in 1976 with Jerry Rennert and AE systems. He has covered nearly every state in the lower 48 working for a number of parts and accessories manufacturers.
In 1993, he came to California and started VanDyke Enterprises. Initially, he was working for only one supply partner, but today VanDyke Enterprises has four reps covering 11 states in the Western U.S.
According to Copeland, all the members of VanDyke Enterprises are saddened to see VanDyke retire, but also are excited to carry on his legacy through the company.
In other company news, VanDyke Enterprises has hired Thomas Bruce, formerly of Manteca Trailer & Motorhome, to cover the aftermarket in California – from Redding to Grapevine – along with Reno, Nevada. This enables Copeland to take over the OEM portion of the business while keeping the aftermarket in southern California.
VanDyke Enterprises has also partnered with Repco to offer complete sales coverage in the United States and Canada. In addition to the 4 reps for the 11 western states, the partnership allows the coverage of 13 total reps across the U.S. and Canada.
