Video-based Training Available for Techs

FRVTA

The RV Learning Center and the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) have partnered to provide online video-based training for dealership personnel through the Distance Learning Network (DLN).

A yearly subscription gives unlimited access to training and test preparation sections for technicians and other dealership employees. The agreement will remain in effect pending the launch of new RV Technical Institute programs that may impact the DLN.

More than 50 hour-long training, review, and test preparation sections can be accessed anywhere, anytime. RVIA textbooks (not included in the course fee) support the program by providing technicians with a print-based reference tool. The textbooks are an important resource for techs participating in the training.

The DLN program is managed by a professional staff of educators and industry trainers and is an in-house, mentor-led training opportunity that eliminates the costs of travel and lost shop time.

The current DLN program will remain in place for the remainder of the 2019 to 2020 curriculum year, which ends July 31, 2020. It is anticipated that any changes to the FRVTA program based on the new RVTI model will be available for current DLN participants in a seamless transition on Aug. 1, 2020, for the 2020 to 2021 school year.

“If your dealership needs to kick-start a training program quickly, this is the way to go,” said RV Learning Center Chairman Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. “The DLN training model streamlines the training process for dealers and offers unrivaled convenience.”
