The RV Industry Association is encouraging RV manufacturers to give members of Congress plant tours as they head home to their districts for the summer recess. The House of Representatives already has adjourned and the Senate will do so today. RVIA mentioned that this is the perfect opportunity to build upon the relationships established during Advocacy Day by having members of Congress or their staff visit manufacturer plants.

A plant tour gives Congress members an opportunity to gain greater insights into a business, and hear about industry issues firsthand.

Although, the RVIA mentioned, it is ideal to have Congressional members visit a plant, it can also be effective to ask a staff person to visit. Officials sometimes make decisions about where they might spend their time based on a positive experience their staff person had.

RVIA wants to assist its members in hosting a plant tour.
