Video: THOR Celebrates Women in ‘Leading Ladies of Adventure’ Series

The following story series was shared by THOR Industries in celebration of Women’s History Month.

Trailblazers, adventurers and fearless explorers — the women shaping the RV and outdoor adventure world are redefining what it means to embrace the open road. From solo travelers to community leaders, these inspiring women are proving that adventure has no limits. Their stories remind us that the great outdoors isn’t just a place to explore — it’s a space to empower, connect and discover the strength within ourselves. Here are just a few of our favorite stories of the most fearless, powerful and passionate adventurers we know.

Dani Reyes-Acosta

Athlete and storyteller Dani Reyes-Acosta aims to inspire individual action and collective communion through self-care and self-determination found in the outdoors.  Based in southwest Colorado, Dani is Mexican, Filipina and Mestiza — and proudly reclaiming the complexities of her heritage as a food producer, cultivator and legacy Coloradan. Her goal as a mountain athlete is to find the limits of her possible, searching for peaks and valleys that tell the story of Mother Earth’s most impacted places.

She has toured and performed all over the world. Jim is a professional DJ and multidisciplinary artist. He tours with Jessy and co-writes her songs with her, but is also a solo artist and a poet in his own right under his artist name, SALMO. He’s currently working on a clothing collection featuring snippets of his poetry to raise money for addiction recovery programs, a cause close to his heart.

Adrienne Jordan

I’ve been an adventure travel writer for the last 10 years. Treehouses in the wilderness; tiny 250-square-foot homes; wood-burning cabins; and even igloos had all been conquered during my travels. However, I still had not experienced sleeping in an RV. Although RV travel had been on my bucket list for years, it had somehow eluded me during my trips both domestically and internationally. That all changed when I had the opportunity to head down to Florida for a dive trip in November of 2023 and explore the Keys in style — with a Thor Motor Coach Gemini B+ Camper Van.

Kalen Thorien

Kalen Thorien is an adventurer with a serious two-wheel addiction. Always moving, always documenting. Normality is not an option. “I’ve always liked to do things that challenge the norm. Be it riding motorcycles, canyoneering or traveling solo, I seem to thrive off challenges. And while I may have started doing these things because I wanted to prove that I could—to prove that all women could—I slowly learned that these challenges are the best thing for me. It’s who I am. People can find their sense of identity in all sorts of places. I just so happened to find mine out in nature.”
