VIDEO: Windish RV Holds Virtual Open House
Colorado-based Windish RV held a contact-less open house last week via Facebook Live as a way making sales and forging new prospects amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
From April 9-10, General Manager Corey Shaw and multimedia specialist Desmond Woodbury produced more than 50 floorplan walkthroughs, as requested by consumers tuning into Facebook Live.
“I’m getting phone calls like crazy from people asking what we did,” said Shaw.
Some of the tools and platforms used for this process included Photoshop, editing videos in Adobe Premiere, cellphones for recording video on the fly, Dropbox to share video uploads with teammates, and free streaming software.
For people visiting the website, a link redirected them to the Facebook Live event where RV tours were occurring nonstop. According to data from Facebook, Windish had 70 percent of the amount of views in those two days than the prior month.
“There was a lot of running around,” said Shaw. “I was wiped out. I’d get home at night and still think that I’m walking through trailers.”
The hard work paid off. Three deals were done last Friday during the show. By Sunday, Windish RV had more than 100 lead inquiries – double the average amount.
Following local “shelter-in-place” laws, one salesperson is allowed to rotate onto one of the three Windish locations based on appointments. After walking prospects through, the RV is then sanitized accordingly.
