Virginia RV Service Shop Opens
Day’s Automotive & RV is the newest automotive shop in Gloucester Point, Va. The locally owned auto shop is run by siblings Ryan and Melissa Day. The two are from Gouverneur, N.Y., a small town close to the Canadian border. Day’s is a NAPA auto care center that works on all car makes and models and offers RV services as well.

Raised on a dairy farm, the two learned how to be very handy. Their father always had the two of them assisting him with whatever came up. Melissa recalled a time when they were helping their father make repairs to the family vehicle.
Melissa came to this area several years before her brother. She spent four years working at an RV dealership, both as a service writer and service manager. This added to her diverse skill set and knowledge which helps Day’s Automotive serve as a one-stop shop.
Ryan has been mechanically minded for most of his life.
“We’re not scared of most challenges,” said Ryan. They do not shy away from any work. As mentioned, they work on all makes and models, including RVs. They’ve previously worked on Class A and Class C RVs. Their ability to work on RVs only helps to make Day’s Automotive set itself apart from other businesses, because very few places offer RV repair. “We just want to provide great service at great prices,” said Ryan.
The shop is located at 2753 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes.
