Vitrifrigo to Make U.S. Debut at RVX

Vitrifrigo, an Italian manufacturer of compressors, cooling units and refrigerators, will be exhibiting at the inaugural RVX event next week.

Headquartered in Vallefoglia, Italy, with U.S. operations based in Pompano Beach, Fla., the company will be showcasing several compressor-type RV refrigerators for OEMs exhibiting at this event. The company has been in the U.S. for fifteen years and has previously focused on high-end luxury yachts.

The company recently launched its RV group under the direction of Doug Schmidt, general manager, and Nelson Pinheiro, sales manager. The management team will be available during the show for trade press interviews and OEM appointments to learn more about the company and its products.

“We are excited to be launching this new lineup of superior refrigeration products at this landmark event,” said Pinheiro. “It is our major introduction of several new units that are unlike anything available in the marketplace today. From stylish stainless-steel exteriors to highly efficient and functional units, the OEMs will be able to take advantage of our compressor technology to design our products into their products in ways never available before. We will be expanding our manufacturing operations in Georgia in 2019 to accommodate our new RV customers.”

“The Vitrifrigo lineup includes refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine coolers,” said Schmidt. “Eventually these products will be available for aftermarket distribution, but the focus right now will be on finding a few RV manufacturers that can appreciate the quality and distinctiveness of these products and want to showcase them in new units they will be introducing at the Dealer Open House events in September.”

Specifically designed for use in moving vehicles, the household-like appliances allow for new floorplans and uses outside the traditional kitchen placements, according to the company, such as islands or peninsulas or external storage bays, because there is no open flame and no external venting is required. The units do not require one or two days of use to get to acceptable cooling temperatures and can operate up to a 30-degree inclination.

The units also operate on 115 VAC, 208 VAC, 12 VDC and 24 VDC.

Vitrifrigo refrigerators are installed in many Knaus (Germany), Kebron (Australia) and Hymer RVs throughout Europe.

Vitrifrigo will be introducing its new DRW180A, double-drawer system where the customer can select which drawer is the refrigerator and which one is the freezer. They can also elect to have both drawers as freezers or both as refrigerators.

The company will also show the new Slim 150, a refrigerator with freezer compartment in a narrow design to save space in designing new floorplans.
