The Texan RV Park & Campus, which serves as headquarters for the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA), announced today that a new general manager is now responsible for campus facilities.

Betty Grant started in her new role in October. As general manager, she will oversee all aspects of RV park management, such as reservations, guest check-in and billing. She will also oversee a team of Workampers, employees and subcontractors who help maintain the RV park and serve people staying and working at the 37-acre property that includes 95 RV sites, four tiny homes, six cabins and three ponds.

In addition to running the RV park, Grant is also responsible for overseeing the physical property at the Big Red School House, where technicians are trained; the Little Red School House, where inspectors are trained; and other campus buildings, such as the audio/video studio, Texan RV Park office and a community center with laundry facilities.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Betty and her husband, Troy, have been full-time RVers and Workampers in the past working for or managing several campgrounds. They have been self-employed in multiple customer-service companies, and are very familiar with NRVTA and its mission to train people to become certified RV technicians and inspectors. The Grants are both graduates of NRVTA and Troy is on the NRVTA technical training team.

“Quality customer service is the starting point for any successful business, but especially for NRVTA,” Betty Grant said. “It begins by setting realistic expectations and maintaining a high level of excitement for people living and working here.

“My goal is to ensure good communication and streamline services for all aspects of the Texan RV Park & Campus to provide the best level of service for our guests, students and staff. We consider ourselves to be a big family, so we want students to feel as though the park is their home away from home. We want them to know they’re welcome members of our campus community, which includes NRVTA as well as the National RV Inspectors Association and the RV Technician Association of America.”

“I have known Betty for several years and can attest she has a top-notch work ethic and commitment to serving people,” said Terry “Cooper” Cooper, the president of NRVTA. “Betty is the type of manager we need to keep the campus community moving forward in an effective and efficient manner. Lots of people are counting on her and I’m confident Betty has what it takes to ensure our facilities remain in top-notch condition and ready to serve students.”
