The RVIA Board of Directors appointed a new member during their meeting held on March 1 in Boca Raton, Fla., during the Association’s RV Leadership Conference.

Mike Happe of Winnebago Industries was approved to assume the company’s seat on the Board, replacing Winnebago’s Chad Reece, who stepped down. Happe was named president and CEO of Winnebago Industries in December 2015 after a 19-year career with The Toro Co.

In other actions, the RVIA Board approved:

* Hiring a third party to survey RV industry companies and RV dealers, including National RV Trade Show attendees and non-attendees, in order to develop strategic direction and a value proposition for the National RV Trade Show.

* Moving the RV Leadership Conference, RVIA Board of Directors meeting and existing January/February RVIA committee meetings to be held in conjunction with the Tampa RV Super Show, pending member input and venue availability.
