Winnebago topped the list of recalls this week from manufacutrers, due to a faulty dead-bolt lock that could leave the locks stuck in the locked position, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Winnebago is recalling 3,307 units from its 2014-15 Vista, Brave, Trend, Minnie Winnie, and Itasca Sunstar, Tribute, Viva!, and Spirit lineups due to a manufacturing issue that causes the deadbolt locks to become stuck in a locked position.
Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair deadbolts as needed. The recall is expected to begin this month. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535, or TriMark customer service at 1-641-394-3188.
Goshen Coach recalled 1,494 of its 2014-15 Pacer, Pacer LS, PacerLTD, GCII, Impulse, Connection, Commander, G-Force, G-Force Access, G-FforceLTD, Sentinel, Sentinel UC and Mainstream Low Floor due to the driver and passenger seat mounting space not have been properly tightened.
The bolts can come loose and cause the seat to move if involved in a crash. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 207, “Seating Systems.”
Goshen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and re-tighten the bolts. The recall is expected to begin this month. Owners may contact Goshen customer service at 1-574-970-6300.
Forest River is recalling 190 of its 2014-15 Vengeance vehicles due to the vehicles’ gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) being less than what is represented on the certification label.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, “Certification.”
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will install a new corrected certification label. The recall began on August 31. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-219-533-5934. Forest River’s number for this recall is 17B-08032015-0069.
Keystone RV Company is recalling 124 of its 2014-15 Keystone Avalanche RVs, model 355RK due to a rear window that has a sticker labeling it as an emergency exit. However, the window may be partially blocked by the rear ladder and was not intended to be a secondary emergency exit.
Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will remove the emergency exit sticker. The recall began on August 17, 2015. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 15-233.
