Lance to Roll Out New-Look Ultralights
RV owners and dealers agree that there’s no substitute for experience when it comes to RV manufacturing, engineering and design.
That is especially true of the light and ultra-light categories. It takes skilled engineering, great design and years of know-how to deliver light weight units with curb appeal and long-lasting quality.
West Coast RV maker Lance Camper is no stranger to the ultra-light category. With a decade of experience under its belt, the company continues to raise the bar in the light trailer category, and its 2018 lineup is no exception.
This month, Lance debuts significant feature enhancements across its lineup at the Hershey and Elkhart Open House Shows.
At the center of both exhibits are the company’s two lightest travel trailer models: the 1475 and 1575. Both units receive a new look for the 2018 model year, starting with new European-inspired external graphics.
Adding to the new look for the models is the addition of the Sky View, a tilt out acrylic Thermopane front window. The 1475 and 1575 also feature a color-coordinated rear grey accent wall that matches the slide-out end walls, and all new aluminum wheel design with color coordinated accents.
With a base dry weight under 2,600 pounds, the 1475 delivers a fully-equipped, easy-to-pull ultra-light with an aluminum frame and bonded fiberglass construction.
The 1475 is both the lightest and newest ultra-light to Lance’s travel trailer lineup. This new and very popular model was introduced without a dinette slide, but instead features two captain’s chairs – a feature that has won favor with many customers, according to Rogers.
For the 2018 model, Lance designed a new sofa slide option in an effort to turn the already popular floor plan into an even better one, by giving customers the choice between the two captain’s chairs or a sofa slide with two swing-away tables, and kick up foot rests and ability to convert to a sofa bed. The sofa slide option has the added benefit of opening up the floor plan tremendously, delivering an impressive amount of livable space in a compact 14-footer.
