Model Year 2026 Preview: Nexus RV, ATC Trailers & Bontrager Industries
Nexus RV
Nexus RV will introduce two new floorplans for 2026 — its Maximus 32MX and Maximus 34MX options. In addition, the company will add several new standard features to its already robust offerings. These include new interior cabinet and furniture designs, Embroider Ghost driver and passenger seats, Cummins AGS Bluetooth System and redesigned wardrobe layouts.

“Our new Maximus Super C will be the first and only RV built on the Ford F650 chassis. This will more than double the cargo carrying capacity of the smaller Ford Super Cs built on the little F550 and F600 chassis,” says Gary Yeoman, national sales manager at Nexus RV. “Also, the towing will be an industry-leading 20,000 pounds. The tire size will be 22.5 inches, compared to the smaller 19.5 inches on the F500 and F600, and we are starting with a 32-foot full wall slide and 34-foot king bed/washer dryer floorplan.”
As Yeoman points out, the Super C segment has tripled in market share in the motorized segment since 2020, and the Nexus RV team expects this category to make up 30% of all motorized sales by 2030.
“This growth is driven by customers wanting a safer drive with an engine block in front of them, a larger cabin space compared to the B/C chassis lines, more serviceability from truck centers, large towing capacity and the lack of gas A chassis availability,” Yeoman says.

Many RV customers are drawn to Nexus RV because of the company’s unique business model as well as its construction and engineering process, Yeoman says. Using an exclusive 72% stronger high-strength, low alloy steel cage construction, Nexus RV offers durability that consumers are seeking. The company says it also constructs their RV units with the most layers of Azdel Onboard composite panels in the Class C/Super C segment for exterior walls, interior walls, exterior roofs, interior ceilings and flooring. In addition, the price points are appealing for consumers entering the RV segment or upgrading to a new RV, the company says.
“Through Q1 of 2025 we are up 120% in retail sales growth,” Yeoman says. “I believe our market segment will grow between 5% to 10% over last year’s retail sales.”
Nexus RV will exhibit off Executive Parkway and at its show room available at Nexus RV off county Road 6.
ATC Trailers
ATC has always prioritized durability, and in 2026, the company is continuing to offer both quality and reliability to better meet customer expectations.
ATC Trailers will launch the new Plā 450 2415 model, which is designed for larger toys in its configurable garage area, allowing owners to haul ATVs, e-bikes, golf carts, motorcycles, side-by-sides and other toys. In addition to the sleeping area, kitchenette and garage, the Plā 450 also features a wet bath or dry bath.
Standard features ATC Trailers will offer include an emphasis on plumbing and electrical reliability, integration of Starlink pass-through, a pivot upper bunk in the Plā 450, enhanced traction on ramp doors and upgraded aluminum cabinet doors on the Plā 450.
Some new options for 2026 are patio doors on the rear deck and an optional rear awning. For the Plā 450 is a dry bath option, with a washer/dryer combination available for the 550 and 750 models. The ATC LifeTrac modular design will offer flexible living solutions that allow customers to customize their floorplan based on preferences.
“The Plā 450 has been successful due to its SUV/half-ton towability, compact size and spacious capacity for toys, offering a competitive price point that appeals to a broad market,” says Kaylie Miller, marketing operations manager at ATC Trailers. “We have also seen a positive reception to upgrades in cabinetry, flooring and interior design within the 550 and 750 models, as well as the inclusion of patio doors and rear awnings in the Plā 750.”
The introduction of the Energy Package 6000, which allows for a true off-grid experience, has also been well received by consumers.
Miller adds that while the toy hauler market remains soft, there is still a willingness among customers to invest in premium products and materials.
“[We’re seeing] a growing segment of crossover customers … travel trailer users who may not require toy-hauling capacity but appreciate the open concept and flexibility in our design,” Miller says. “We are seeing trends in the market that suggest quality is depreciating within the industry, and we believe it’s time for a change.
During Open House, ATC Trailers will display at its campus at 5225 E. Market St. in Nappanee, Indiana.
Bontrager Industries
Under the leadership of CEO and owner Jason Bontrager, Bontrager Industries will introduce a robust lineup of new floorplans across its Bontrager Outdoors and Skinny Guy Campers (SGC) brands, highlighting function-forward layouts, smarter chassis design and improved curb appeal.
Bontrager Industries will exhibit once again at Open House in Elkhart, near the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
The company says it will address diverse RV customer needs with its 2026 Comfort Line: three new towable floorplans (21-plus feet) prioritizing versatility, livability and smart storage.
The 21BH is tailored for families, featuring a front bed, rear bunkhouse and a unique rear entry door designed to haul larger gear like bikes or kayaks with ease. The 21MB caters to couples, offering a front Murphy bed, spacious midship bath and a roomy rear U dinette. Rounding out the lineup is the 21PD, a multipurpose model that builds on the 21MB’s layout but adds a rear ramp door that transforms into a full patio complete with a guardrail.
SGC is also expanding its towable lineup for 2026 with three all-new 21-foot models designed to meet the diverse needs of families, couples and adventure-seekers.
The 21B is a family-focused layout featuring a front bed, rear bunkhouse and a large rear entry door for loading oversize gear like bikes or kayaks. The 21M caters to couples with a front Murphy bed, midship bathroom and a U dinette in the rear. The 21P completes the lineup as a flexible, multipurpose model, echoing the 21M’s layout but adding a rear ramp door that converts into a patio space with a guardrail.

For 2026, SGC is making its full lineup of all-aluminum truck campers available in both trim levels, offering flexibility and customization for today’s truck-based adventurers. Customers can now choose between the Full Kit, SGC’s fully loaded version packed with amenities for extended off-grid travel, or the minimalist BaseCap, which functions as a rugged truck cap with an integrated rooftop tent.
The lineup spans a range of truck types and bed lengths, including the 4.5 model tailored for the Rivian R1T or Ford Maverick (available exclusively in BaseCap), the GLR designed for the Jeep Gladiator and multiple configurations for both mid-size and full-size trucks.
“The SGC BaseCap trim level in all models is one that we are especially happy to offer,” Bontrager says. “This is what I personally run on my truck. It is always there when needed for a night’s sleep and still allows me to use my truck bed for doing truck stuff while the BaseCap is installed.”
The company will not offer any specific features as standard. However, because Bontrager Industries came out ahead on tariffs, customers will see lower base prices, Bontrager says.
“As a result of operational efficiency gains and deeper vendor relationships, we were able to lower our base prices on our products for model year 2026,” he says. “We’ve standardized chassis design between similar models to be able to reduce complexity on our production line as well.”
Starting in 2026, dealers will be able to order campers customized for their region, he adds. Bontrager admits this shift adds complexity to the company’s production line, but says, “We believe this is a great feature for our dealers and customers around North America.”
The curated packages, designed to meet the unique demands of different climates and terrains, include:
- The Cold Weather Package offers essential features for colder climates while keeping costs in check.
- The Warm Weather Package optimizes comfort and efficiency in hotter environments.
- The All Weather Package includes a full suite of features for year-round travel across a variety of climates.
- The Mountain Package, available on 10- and 12-foot models, equips the camper with a Timbren off-road, trailing arm suspension and a 2-inch lift. Bontrager says this version is perfect for adventurers seeking additional ground clearance and durability on challenging terrain.
The company has put effort into improving the outward appearance of its products and refining the user experience, focusing on comfort, accessibility and efficiency, Bontrager says. “We’ve done this by streamlining the exterior graphics packages (and Exo lining on SGC) to align the use of common pieces beneath each brand. Curb appeal is important. It determines if a customer will walk up to our campers or walk past them at a dealership.”
Rooftop AC units have been added to models 15 feet and longer to deliver improved airflow and cooling capacity. A new doorway-installed folding step system that lowers fully to the ground, replacing the traditional chassis-mounted step, makes entry easier, safer and more stable. The Truma Combi water heater and furnace combo remains available across the product line. Most models also come pre-equipped with a built-in solar panel and wiring to support off-grid adventures straight from the factory.
Bontrager says the company is streamlining its offerings to adapt to rising fuel costs, smaller tow vehicles and tighter consumer budgets.
The company prioritizes lightweight, well-built alternatives to oversize or lower-quality campers, aiming to provide durable options that balance cost and quality. Bontrager Industries also supports the growing trend of off-grid and boondock camping by enhancing its products for off-road use and independent living, he says.
Looking into the second half of 2025 and beyond, Bontrager describes the RV market as “steady” — not booming, but stabilizing — as manufacturers and dealers work through the inventory built up during the pandemic. With that backlog thinning, the company’s new models are arriving at dealerships ready to meet current demand, he concludes.
