Although no new units will hit Airstream lineups for 2025, fresh floorplans and new off-grid features are on the company’s mind.
The Trade Wind travel trailer brand will launch its 23-foot front bed model (23FB) with 12-volt Bluetooth-compatible smart TVs. The new floorplan features a standard 500-watt solar panel array on the roof supported by 810 amp hours of lithium battery.
Airstream said its solar and lithium battery packs for boondocking were most popular in 2024.
“We are noticing that more people are looking for remote camping experiences and products that allow them to stay off-grid for longer periods of time,” says Sally Getic, product marketing manager.
Getic also notes Airstream’s popular single-axle travel trailer, the Caravel, will debut new decor.
When it comes to catching dealers’ and consumers’ eyes, the company says the “Firefly Vega Touch: Touring Coach” gives owners the convenience of controlling their Firefly Multiplex System through a Bluetooth app in addition to touchscreens inside the coach.
In addition, Airstream’s Interstate 19X and 24X models will both have updated bed systems in 2025. The Flex Bed System with comfort support converts from two individual benches, which can be used as twin beds, to a roomy 70-inch-by-84-inch sleeping area, or even to a full-plus-twin configuration.
“Both of these models also gained some interior storage, which is always desired, with the additional of an over-cab storage shelf,” says Audrey Gutman, product marketing manager.
The 24X was updated with additional exterior RAPTOR Coating on the hood to protect the van during off-road adventures.
“The 19X adventure van was a great launch this past year. This van boasts everything people love about the 24X, but in a nimble, easy to maneuver footprint. Owners love the AWD capabilities, exterior RAPTOR Coating, all-terrain tires, roof rack with added lighting, a power sliding door and the optional E1 enhanced power package,” Gutman says.
“On the interior, owners are drawn to the rugged but refined interiors, a complete wet bath with macerator, the largest sleeping area in its class with a Flex Bed System, flexible gear storage and ample windows to allow in natural light.”
