Roadtrek, owned by French conglomerate Rapido Group along with sister brand Westfalia, will showcase its new units on Executive Parkway. Roadtrek will feature an array of updates to its Play series. These include:
- A restyled floorplan available in the 159-inch EXT Pro Master Chassis
- New features such as lithium battery power, decor and under-cabinet LED lighting
- An optional dual-powered folding bed platform with no need to insert cushions to complete the bed configuration
“Dealers will notice Roadtrek’s great use of its time in a softer market to refine the overall quality and attention to detail in its product line. The Roadtrek team has focused on achieving a very high level of quality in preparation for the 2025 model year launch,” the company says.
During the past year, the brand says the Chase 50, its 50th anniversary special edition model, was “an enormous success.” Roadtrek says premium features and a new floorplan improved overall sight lines from the front to the rear of the van, creating an open interior. Overall, Roadtrek says it is committed to offering personal choice exterior paint packages and premium interior conveniences.
“Fortunately, Roadtrek has been very realistic in working within the confines of a softer market, and we are confident signs of recovery are at our doorstep,” says Len McDougall, head of sales. “Roadtrek has not burdened its dealers with excess inventory in the current market, and therefore both our dealers and the factory are in a very strong position as this market continues to recover. At present, we believe the initial market recovery will be fueled by cash-positioned consumers.”
The brand is touting a few “tricks up its sleeve” at its Open House exhibit on Executive Parkway.
Westfalia
Westfalia, now produced in Ontario, Canada, is returning to Open House after relaunching in the North American market in 2023.
For model year 2025, the company plans to introduce a shorter version of the Westfalia Wave, touting the maneuverability of a smaller coach.
The new Wave model will be produced on the standard 159-inch 3500 series Ram Pro Master. Despite the shorter floorplan, this model will continue to feature travel seating in the cab area for four, with the patented Westfalia seat design that converts into additional sleeping space.
Westfalia says it prioritizes storage within a smaller space, with less restriction on what owners have to leave behind. A new option for 2025 is an induction stove for the kitchen.
The brand’s patented seat design offers adaptability with a multipurpose passenger bench, equipped with child seat restraint anchors and comfortable headrests.
“Westfalia has pragmatically embraced the challenges of a softer market, and we are optimistic that signs of recovery are on the horizon,” says Len McDougall, head of sales for Westfalia Americas. “The market may remain soft into the new year; however, Westfalia’s iconic history, cherished by several generations of happy owners, creates excitement among both past and new customers. Fortunately, as a reintroduced brand, Westfalia is finding its footing in a market that still faces challenges to full recovery. This presents a great opportunity for new Westfalia dealers, as the brand launch benefits from a lack of inventory saturation.”
