Women in Business: Lisa Smith

Director of Allegro Club & Events – Tiffin Motorhomes

Lisa is responsible for managing the Tiffin Motorhomes Allegro Club, including planning and ensuring the success of several owner rallies each year with more than 400 motorhomes. Along with managing the club membership and store, she creates newsletters, the company magazine Roughing It Smoothly, handles marketing for the Allegro Club and provides seminars to educate attendees and helps solve customer complaints. Lisa oversaw the creation of Official Tiffin Facebook Groups; successfully presented plans to build a dog park for owners awaiting service and also a new customer lounge and outdoor area, and other renovations to the club, including an online store for branded merchandise and parts.

How has Lisa demonstrated leadership and innovation within her field?

Lisa began working at Tiffin Motorhomes three years ago and has learned the functionality of the motorhomes. Lisa has handled many obstacles while on the ground at the rallies and where some would have thrown their hands up, Lisa has excelled in her performance and duties, while keeping a level head and remaining calm. She holds a high-profile leadership role in a traditionally male-dominated space, proving that women can excel in the RV industry at the highest levels.

Lisa’s focus on customer satisfaction is evident in the decisions she makes. Her peers, volunteers, vendors and attendees have nothing but respect and love for the way she is always willing to meet their needs. Her leadership and innovation have transformed these rallies into some of the most sought-after events in the community.

Through the rallies, Lisa has driven customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Tiffin brand. She understands the need for happy customers to drive future growth, and nominators credit Lisa with increased memberships to the Allegro Club and attendance at rallies. She encourages women to partake in the entire RV experience, including driving and setting up and attending seminars to learn alongside their spouse. What challenge(s) has Lisa faced in her career and how did she overcome it?

Lisa’s biggest challenge was getting the team to accept her and to embrace change. Her ability to be positive and patient enabled her to explain the changes and how they would benefit everyone was her key to success. The team is loyal and dedicated to her and the organizational goals. She doesn’t let interference from others get in the way of her job and is noted throughout the Tiffin Motorhomes company as one of their most valued employees.

She is fiercely loyal to Tiffin, her co-workers and Tiffin owner friends. If you need help, she is always there for you. Lisa is an exceptional leader, someone who truly leads by example and cares deeply for the team. What advice do you have for women in the RV industry?

To all up-and-coming women in the RV industry, embrace every opportunity to learn and grow! This is an exciting and ever-evolving field where your ideas, skills, and perspective are needed and valued. One important piece of advice — believe in yourself, even when you’re the only woman in the room. Your voice matters. Stand tall, speak up, ask questions and don’t be afraid to take on challenges that stretch your capabilities. Growth happens when we push past our comfort zones. Faith has always been a guiding force throughout my career. I truly believe that every opportunity, challenge and success is part of God’s greater plan. Two key factors that have helped me in my journey are adaptability and relationship-building. The RV industry is constantly changing, so being open to change and innovation, seeking out mentors and forging strong relationships have been invaluable to me.

What does it mean to you to be a Women in Business honoree?

Being recognized as a Women in Business honoree is truly humbling and an incredible honor. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, this recognition represents more than just personal achievement — it’s about breaking barriers, lifting others, being resilient and the power of stepping into spaces where women’s voices are needed. It’s a reminder of the hard work, integrity, perseverance and faith that have shaped my journey, as well as the incredible people who have supported me along the way. I hope this recognition encourages other women by showing them that they, too, can break barriers and lead with confidence. I hope it inspires them to step confidently into their own leadership potential and know that they belong at the table.
