How does Stacey contribute to the ongoing support and growth of women in the RV industry?
Stacey actively contributes to the support and growth of women in the RV industry by providing mentorship, training and leadership development opportunities. Stacey advocates for inclusive training environments where all team members feel empowered to ask questions, develop their skills and take on leadership roles.
What challenge(s) has Stacey faced in her career and how did she overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges Stacey faces in her career is navigating a space where diversity is still growing. As an African American woman in the RV industry, she would often find herself as the only woman or the only person of color in the room. At times, this came with the challenge of feeling the need to prove herself more than her peers. She overcame this by focusing on excellence and confidence, ensuring that her knowledge, skills and leadership spoke for themselves. She built strong relationships across teams, sought mentorship and became a mentor herself to help others navigate similar experiences.
Now as a corporate trainer, she uses her platform to create opportunities for other women and minorities in the industry. She advocates for more inclusive training environments, making sure that all employees, regardless of background, feel heard, valued and empowered.
