ORR Announces New Additions to Its Network
The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) announced the addition of six new members and a new partner, the first in a new category of ORR participation.
New members are:
- American Bus Association, a trade association for the motorcoach and group travel industry
- Maryland Office of Outdoor Recreation, who strive to make outdoor recreation spaces more welcoming and inclusive, expand access to outdoor recreation opportunities and amplify the good work that is being done in the field
- National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, a leading voice for healthy oceans, coasts and the Great Lakes
- Paddlesports Trade Coalition, dedicated to advocating for and promoting the strength of the paddlesports industry in North America
- Travel Nevada, working to ensure that Nevada is recognized for its destinations, its economic environment, its quality of life and its state government.
- Water Sports Industry Association, a leading advocate for the towed water sports industry
- Rollick, headquartered in Austin, joining as a new ORR partner, is one of the leading technology providers to help RV, marine, powersports and equipment manufacturers and dealers find, win and keep customers.
These additions to the ORR network mark an important expansion of ORR’s commitment to promoting and supporting the outdoor recreation industry across all activities and the nation, the organization said.
“ORR members and partners make up a powerful network of trade associations, businesses, nonprofits and state entities. Together we are the leading influencer for the recreation sector and recreation activities in America. When ORR speaks, so does the $1.2 trillion recreation economy, said Jessica Wahl Turner, president of ORR. “We are excited that the American Bus Association, the Watersports Industry Association, the Paddlesports Trade Coalition, the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation and Rollick have joined up with our existing members.”
“The American Bus Association is proud to join the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable to champion outdoor recreation and foster rural economic growth,” said Fred Ferguson, president and CEO of the American Bus Association. “Motorcoach and group tour operators are vital in connecting people to incredible destinations, boosting visitation and driving local economies. By expanding motorcoach and group travel partnerships, we not only enhance access to outdoor experiences but also support sustainable tourism through reduced car trips, efficient transportation and better visitor dispersion during peak times. Together, we can ensure outdoor recreation remains accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for generations to come.”
“Maryland is excited to join the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable,” said Sandi Olek, director of the Maryland Office of Outdoor Recreation. “ORR has already been a valuable partner in supporting fair access to outdoor spaces and helping us grow our outdoor economy. Becoming a member will allow us to connect with national experts and resources, further strengthening Maryland’s outdoor recreation industry and benefiting communities.”
“The future of America’s most treasured waters, our system of national marine sanctuaries, depends on public use and advocacy for these incredible places,” said Joel Johnson, president and CEO, National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. “That’s why we’re pleased to join the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable with our peers in industry, state and other nonprofit voices for healthier outdoors and sustainable access to nature for all. ORR’s leadership is nonpartisan and focused on economic well-being of the communities that rely on the outdoors, and thus an ideal partner to the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.”
“The member retailers, outfitters, brands, sales reps and industry associates of the Paddlesports Trade Coalition (PTC) are stoked to be able to support the efforts of ORR as a member”, said Jeff Turner, executive director of PTC. “Equitable and safe access to paddlesports and outdoor adventure is one of the bulkheads of our organization, and we are fortunate to have the dedication and advocacy of the Roundtable team. Thank you for inviting PTC to the table.”
“Nevada is proud to join forces with our industry, academic, and state partners as a dedicated member of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR),” said Rafael Villanueva, CEO of Travel Nevada. “With Nevada’s vast open spaces, world-class outdoor recreation opportunities and the development of our new Nevada Adventure Centers, ORR is a natural fit. Their advocacy, rural development tools and training resources will be invaluable as we continue to promote and develop experiences that showcase Nevada’s unique outdoor offerings and support our Adventure Centers as hubs for exploration and discovery.”
“The Water Sports Industry Association is thrilled to be joining the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable!” said Lee Gatts, vice president of government affairs at Water Sports Industry Association. “We deeply understand the importance of building coalitions across all segments of outdoor recreation to enhance alignment, facilitate collaboration, and ensure our policy priorities are represented at the local, state, and federal level. We look forward to working jointly with other stakeholders and utilizing our government affairs skills to promote and protect not only the towed water sports industry, but the outdoor recreation industry as a whole.”
“Rollick is thrilled to join the ORR as a partner, as we believe that the collaboration and shared goals within this network align perfectly with our mission,” said Chris Yeloushan, vice president of dealer and industry relations at Rollick. “The Partnership category offers us a unique platform to contribute to and benefit from collective industry expertise, enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional solutions and value to our brands and dealer partners. We look forward to driving innovation and growth alongside other forward-thinking organizations in the ORR community.”
