From Greg
What has it meant to work in the RV industry this long?
I consider myself blessed every day to have spent my entire career in this industry. We have the best customers any industry could ever ask for. Helping customers fulfill lifelong dreams of traveling this beautiful country that we live in has been an honor. I have also made so many good friends along the way and worked with some really wonderful people. It’s a very close, niche industry that offers so much opportunity for the next generation coming in to our industry.
What advice do you have for younger people just starting their careers?
Adopt the mentality of “learn to earn.” Meaning, the more I study and put into my career, the more I will get out of it. The RV industry offers some incredibly high-paying careers and opportunity for growth on both the retail and wholesale side of things to those who are committed to it. Beyond that: Develop a very strong work ethic; set attainable goals; find a good mentor; show up every day and push yourself beyond your comfort zone; out work everybody around you; be nice to people, and people will be nice to you; don’t overcomplicate things — common sense typically outweighs any other approach.
