As founders of Investorade, Korosec and DeWitt are deeply invested in preserving the spirit of camping while thoughtfully elevating guest experiences, the company said. Both owners share a genuine love for campgrounds and the traditions that come with them, believing that the outdoors should stay outdoorsy while still offering comfort and convenience. They see campgrounds not only as a business but as a way to help families create lasting memories together. With backgrounds in customer service, property management and real estate investment, the duo combines professional expertise with a heartfelt dedication to the camping community.

A long-time favorite for campers seeking a tranquil getaway in eastern Oklahoma, the Checotah/Lake Eufaula West KOA Holiday is set on spacious, tree-lined grounds with direct access to Lake Eufaula, the state’s largest reservoir. The campground offers nature trails to the lake, a catch-and-release fishing pond, canoe rentals and a barnyard zoo currently home to ducks, a goat and the famous, resident mini-donkey named Jasper.

Campgrounds have a significant economic and cultural impact on local communities. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers injected $61 billion into local economies in 2024, with the average camper spending $200 daily while camping. Campers are looking to experience the culture of local regions, with 27% of campers saying they are interested in visiting small towns and another 27% drawn to food tourism.

KOA Holiday campgrounds are ideal base camps for exploring the area or simply enjoying a fun-filled stay with plenty of activities, KOA said. Whether for a longer getaway or an overnight stop, KOA Holiday campgrounds offer amenities and services that make every stay memorable. Each KOA Holiday offers full-service RV Sites with a KOA Patio and Deluxe Cabins with full bathrooms.

Amenities include a seasonal swimming pool, a well-stocked convenience and gift store, a snack bar featuring Hunt Brothers Pizza, a KampK9 dog park, a 24-hour laundromat and propane sales. Recreation options abound, from mini barnyard visits and kayak rentals to horseshoes, volleyball, badminton and relaxing nature walks. Meeting rooms with kitchens are available for family reunions, RV clubs and group gatherings, and the campground’s country setting offers peace and quiet to campers, KOA said.

The Checotah/Lake Eufaula West KOA Holiday is one of more than 500 open-to-the-public KOA campgrounds in the U.S. and Canada. Other brands in the KOA Family of Campgrounds include KOA Journeys, convenient locations after a long day on the road that feature long pull-thru RV sites and easy after-hours check-in. KOA Resorts offer an abundance of staff-led activities, on-site dining, group meeting space and more.

Located at 409329 E 1078 Rd I-40 and Pierce Rd Exit 255, the Checotah/Lake Eufaula West KOA Holiday is open year-round. For more information, visit the campground’s website, or call 918-473-6511. Reservations are also available by going online or using the KOA app.
