Independence Bank Awards Care Camps Foundation With Donation Check

Independence Bank of Havre, Montana, presented Care Camps Foundation with a donation check for $4,738.60 at the annual Fore the Kids golf tournament hosted by Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) in Billings, Montana, on Sept. 12.

Independence Bank donates funds to Care Camps Foundation through its Spirit Debit Card Program. Each time cardholders with the debit card complete a transaction, up to 5 cents is donated to Care Camps Foundation. In addition to participating in KOA’s charity golf tournament, the Montana-based banking team also sponsors and participates in annual KOA Convention fundraising events benefiting Care Camps Foundation.

Max Vogel, KOA loan officer, stated, “Independence Bank is proud to work alongside the Care Camps Foundation to give back to a wonderful organization and help them complete their mission with our Care Camps Foundation card.”

Gwynn Sullivan, executive director of Care Camps Foundation, said, “We are incredibly grateful for the longstanding support from Independence Bank. Since 2013, they have provided Care Camps Foundation charitable donations annually, and we are so honored to also be included in their Spirit Debit Card Program.”

Each year, the Care Camps Foundation funds over 120 pediatric oncology camps, making it possible for more than 40,000 children, siblings and parents to attend camp. This creates opportunities for families to heal, connect and find joy together despite the challenges of cancer. Care Camps Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated solely to funding camps for children with cancer in the U.S. and Canada.
