Forest River XLR Toy Haulers Marks 15K Retail Unit Sales
Forest River Inc. announced that XLR Toy Haulers has surpassed 15,000 cumulative retail unit sales, marking an important milestone for the brand and its presence in the toy hauler segment.
For XLR, the milestone represents more than a cumulative sales figure, Forest River said. It reflects thousands of retail purchases over the life of the brand and provides an opportunity for the XLR team to recognize its history while remaining focused on how the needs and expectations of today’s RV customers continue to change.
“Fifteen thousand retail sales is an important marker for XLR because every one of those units represents someone choosing our brand,” said Lance Lees, product manager for XLR Toy Haulers. “It allows us to appreciate what XLR has built over the years while keeping our attention on what we need to do next.”
XLR Toy Haulers are designed for RVers who want the flexibility to bring motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and other recreational equipment along for their trips, Forest River said, all while providing the space and amenities to sleep, eat, entertain and take in the incredible views that the camping experience provides.

Today, the XLR lineup includes Boost and Nitro toy haulers, offering a range of travel trailers and fifth-wheel configurations designed around cargo capability, functionality and the different ways customers use their RVs.
Reaching 15,000 retail unit sales also gives the XLR team an opportunity to reflect on the foundation of the brand while continuing to evaluate how its products can better serve today’s toy hauler customer. According to the 2025 Go RVing RV Owner Demographic Profile, the median age of an RV owner has declined to 49, with 46% of current owners between ages 35 and 54. The research also found that 43% of RV owners have children under 18 at home and 36% are first-time RV owners. Among consumers considering an RV purchase in the next five years, 73% are under age 55 and 48% have children under 18 at home.
“Reaching 15,000 units sold is a significant milestone, made possible by the trust of our owners, the dedication of our existing dealers and the quality and competitiveness of XLR products in the marketplace,” said Lees. “Building on this strong foundation, we are bringing renewed energy to XLR through a bold new brand identity, redesigned exteriors and new models that offer buyers even more compelling reasons to take a closer look. For both our current and prospective dealers, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of XLR’s continued growth and help shape the next chapter of our success.”
The XLR team recently identified the milestone while reviewing historical retail sales data and determined the brand had moved beyond the 15,000-unit mark.
For 2027, XLR is making its next move with a refreshed look that pairs a bolder exterior look with updated floorplans, Forest River said.
The Nitro 41G14 is built for owners who want to bring the toys and stay awhile. The Boost 2115B brings that same capability to a shorter travel trailer. Both give owners room for their gear and a unique place to come back to after a day’s adventure.

The Nitro 41G14 makes the most of its size, Forest River said. Beyond the separate garage, three slides open up a living area with a kitchen island, while a front bedroom and bath and a half give everyone room to settle in. When the riding is done, the rear ramp becomes a patio. A 150-gallon fresh water tank and 40-gallon fuel station add capacity for trips that go well beyond a quick weekend getaway.
The Boost 2115B makes a strong case for keeping things compact. At 28 feet, 6 inches, it fits an 8-foot ramp door and cargo space into a travel trailer with no slides. Inside, a Murphy bed opens up the living area during the day, and flexible garage furniture lets owners put the space to work after the gear is unloaded. New exterior graphics give the 2115B a fresh look, while a standard 200-watt solar panel adds another useful feature for longer travel stays.
