RVWA Highlights Industry Trailblazers for Annual Awards
The RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) has announced the finalists for its prestigious annual awards, pulling from a pool of 50-plus applications. The winner will be announced at the Awards Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 15, during the RV Women’s Alliance Education Symposium.
“The Educational Symposium stands as a testament to how powerful this industry can be when we truly connect across the silos and it’s important to recognize those leading the charge,” said RV Women’s Alliance education task force member Rose LeCesne of IDS.
About the Award
This year, the RV Women’s Alliance Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement has been aptly renamed to recognize the founder and president of RVWA, Susan Carpenter, for her remarkable accolades spanning a 35-plus-year career dedicated to supporting women.
As the RV Women’s Alliance highest honor, this award is presented annually to an individual member in recognition of women who have been in the industry 20-plus years and have made significant contributions to the RV industry’s advancement while also paving the way for other women to follow in their paths.
Meet the Finalists:

Amy Book | Sales Operations Manager at Airstream
Book began her career on the manufacturing line before spending 14 years in service. She later transitioned into sales and sales support, spending the past 9 years leading and supporting critical sales operations. Her career continues to evolve as she takes on increasingly data- and ERP-focused responsibilities, positioning her to help shape the future of how the business operates. Along the way, she has trained, developed and mentored numerous team members, consistently sharing the knowledge she has accumulated throughout her career and highlighting what it means to be an RVWA member. These experiences on both sides of sales and service give her a unique perspective, highlighting the breadth and depth of a true RV industry trailblazer.
Cammy Pierson | Former President of Curtis Trailers

Pierson never has shied away from putting in the work — whether it was leadership in her own company, local leadership as president of the Oregon RV Dealers Association or serving as chair of the RVDA, Pierson could be relied upon to lead effectively and commit to the labor of both paid and unpaid work in the RV industry. Countless young women have had Pierson as a mentor, and her example has longstanding ripples throughout the RV industry. In her tenure at Curtis Trailers, Pierson’s willingness to “lead from behind” was evident. She shared with other dealers through her leadership role in ORVDA how she’d even assist employees with carpools in difficult times, encouraging them to meet their staffs on their level, where they were at — wherever in life that might be. When a dealer speaks candidly about how they care and how to care with their dealer peers, it creates a sea change and highlights exactly what it means to be a trailblazer.
Eleonore Hamm | President of RVDA of Canada

Hamm has dedicated over 31 years of extraordinary service to the RV industry and Canadian dealers. She joined RVDA of Canada in 1995 as an executive assistant, quickly rising through the ranks to executive vice president, and ultimately being appointed president in 2009. Over her 17-year tenure as president, Hamm has served as the national voice for Canadian RV dealers. Her distinguished career has earned her top industry honors, including induction into the 2021 RV/MH Hall of Fame Class and receiving the 2014 RVIA National Education Service Award. Hamm’s impact on the RV industry spans federal advocacy, dealer education, market intelligence and crisis management while mentoring countless women within association management, dealer groups and industry committees. As one of the few women leading a major national RV trade association over the last two decades, she exemplifies how to lead with “grace and grit” — combining diplomatic composure with fierce, effective advocacy and representing the true essence of a Trailblazer.
“Join us in celebrating these amazing women moving the needle for women across a storied career in the RV industry!” RVWA said.
