Lippert Named Entrepreneur Award Finalist
Ernst & Young (EY) has announced that an independent panel of judges named Jason Lippert as a national finalist for the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year award in the manufacturing category. Now in its 32nd year, this award recognizes entrepreneurs who are forging a better future through products, services and jobs that keep our worldwide economies and communities moving forward. EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.
“What an honor it is to be recognized by such an esteemed organization for the dedication and commitment to the manufacturing industry and the communities that our business impacts,” said Lippert.
Since 1986, EY has celebrated entrepreneurial excellence by honoring those innovators and prominent leaders who have contributed and inspired others with their vision, leadership and achievement. The chosen companies have succeeded in invigorating their industries and benefitting their communities, while also encouraging and empowering others to follow their lead. In 2018, the 231 award winners represented 187 entrepreneurial companies, employing more than 213,000 people with a job growth of 46 percent. They generated revenue of more than $66 billion, with revenue growth increasing more than 56 percent.
The program has continually recognized high-caliber business leaders, including Lonnie Moulder and Mary Lynne Hedley of TESARO in 2017. Past U.S. winners have included Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Robert Unanue of Goya Foods, Hamdi Ulukaya of Chobani, and Jayshree Ullal and Andy Bechtolsheim of Arista Networks.
Jason Lippert was originally selected as a regional Entrepreneur of the Year winner in the manufacturing category for the Midwest region. Lippert was selected as one of 44 national finalists from over 1,300 applicants nationwide.
