Thousand Trails Celebrates 50 Years with Collectible Pins and Time Capsules
Thousand Trails is celebrating the brand’s 50 years in the campground industry with 50th anniversary festivities planned across its network of campgrounds in 2019. Members and guests will have the opportunity to collect commemorative anniversary pins, contribute to a multi-location time capsule, and participate in contests, themed weekends and planned activities throughout the year.
“Thousand Trails campgrounds are always filled with fun events and activities,” said Pat Zamora, VP of marketing for Thousand Trails. “For the 50th anniversary, we’re planning some special celebrations and contests to thank our members and guests for letting us be a part of their camping lifestyle the last 50 years.”
Founded in 1969 with the purchase of 640 acres in Chehalis, Washington, Thousand Trails has become one of the largest networks of RV resorts and campgrounds in North America, according to the company.
As part of the 50th anniversary, Thousand Trails has partnered with nonprofit For Pete’s Sake, offering to host 50 free nights to patients in their program. For Pete’s Sake enables cancer patients and their loved ones to relax and strengthen their relationships, providing transformative respite experiences. Participants can choose from various properties and accommodations with Thousand Trails, including, yurts, cabins, cottages, and tiny houses.
