California Awards Basecamp Hospitality Contract
Basecamp Hospitality was recently awarded a contract by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation to manage Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground in San Dimas, Calif., located at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in the San Gabriel Valley.
Formerly known as Eastshore RV Park, Basecamp Hospitality rebranded the RV resort and campground to connect the resort to the County Park and to pay homage to Frank Bonelli, a former LA county supervisor who played a pivotal role in creating the 1,975-acre regional park, which features a 250-acre lake and views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Its central location offers proximity to major attractions such as Disneyland, Raging Waters, and Knott’s Berry Farm.
“We’re honored to take over concessions of this spectacular park which is only 40 minutes from the city of Los Angeles but feels like a world away with its mountain and lake views and endless outdoor recreation,” said Kris Koeberer, president of Basecamp Hospitality. “We will continue Bonelli’s legacy by making significant improvements to the guest experience and implementing sustainable practices.”
Planned improvements to the RV Resort and campground, which features 518 RV sites and 24 tent camping sites, include:
- Addition of common areas and seating with garden landscapes
- Pool expansion with in ground spa, firepits, and shade structures
- Children’s adventure area
- Dog-friendly social area
- Pickle ball courts
- Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the resort
- Restroom rehabilitation, ADA, and water conservation fixtures
- Remodel of the store, lobby and meeting area
- Recycling center
The RV resort and campground will continue to offer campers convenient access to the regional park’s recreational activities, such as family and group picnicking, sightseeing, hiking, horseback riding, jogging, nature walks, RV and group camping, water-theme park, calf-roping, bird watching, golfing and bicycling.
