Windish RV Appoints Whitney Holtz as New Company President
Colorado’s Windish RV promoted Whitney Holtz to the role of company president.
Holtz assumes command of Colorado’s largest family-owned an=d operated RV dealership after having served as its vice president of operations since 2019. Her promotion marks the third generation of the Windish family to lead the RV dealership since its founding in 1965. Holtz, a Colorado native, is the granddaughter of Dale Windish, founder of Windish RV.
“I am honored to take on this role and proud to carry on the family legacy,” said Holtz. “We have an amazing team at Windish RV, and I am excited to help take our dealership to the next level.”
Holtz transitioned to her new role upon the retirement of her mother and Windish RV co-owner, Carolyn Windish Irwin. Under Irwin’s leadership, Windish RV has led Colorado in towable RV sales for more than a decade, according to data from Statistical Surveys. Irwin took control of the company in 1995 and has since grown Windish RV from a single location to one of the largest family-owned and operated RV dealerships in the United States, the company said.
“My father would be so proud that Whitney is carrying on as the third generation to oversee and lead our family-owned and operated business,” stated Irwin. “Multigenerational family businesses are few and far between these days, so I could not be more thrilled and excited that my daughter can continue to add more customers and staff to the Windish RV family.”
Prior to joining Windish RV, Holtz worked in marketing and communications strategy for TTEC, a global leader in customer experience technology and services. She began her career in consulting, valuing the media rights of sports franchises and media properties, before moving to Chicago to manage ticket operations for the Chicago Cubs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Trinity University and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Denver.
“It is extremely important to our company that we continue to remain a family-owned and operated business,” said Corey Shaw, Windish RV general manager. “Whitney brings a unique fresh perspective and many innovative ideas from her experience outside the RV industry.”
