Roadtrek Makes SumoSprings Standard on Class Bs
Canada-based Roadtrek said it will no longer offer SumoSprings as an optional suspension upgrade on its Class B lineup, but instead will make the SumoSprings rear suspension upgrade standard equipment on all its Class B vans built on the popular RAM ProMaster chassis.
The current models are Play, Play SRT, Play Slumber, Chase, Zion, Zion Slumber, Pivot, Pivot Slumber and Zion SRT.
“During the past year Roadtrek made available SumoSprings as an option on ProMaster models,” said Len McDougall, head of sales for Roadtrek. “Since that time, we have experienced very positive feedback regarding the suspension benefits when using SumoSprings. That positive feedback has prompted Roadtrek to now include SumoSprings as standard equipment on ProMaster models for the 2023 year.”
SumoSprings for the RAM ProMaster is SuperSprings International’s number one selling product, the company said. With the growth of van builds over recent years, especially on the ProMaster chassis, there has been a growing demand for a better driving experience without a sacrifice build quality and weight. Roadtrek touts SumoSprings’ load-leveling capacity, ease of install and vibration reduction, as well as the fact that the components are maintenance-free, made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty.
“SSI continues to expand on our already dominant reach in the motorized RV segment. When we first partnered with Roadtrek, they asked to test the waters with our SumoSprings as an option. Early on they found that nearly every customer was opting to upgrade to our maintenance-free suspension enhancement to make their journey better,” said Adam Weisner, SuperSprings International’s president.
