TAXA Outdoors Unveils ‘Dark Sky Mantis’ Following Eclipse
Following the total solar eclipse on April 8, TAXA Outdoors unveiled a limited edition model of its most popular overlanding vehicle, dubbed the Dark Sky Mantis.
“TAXA Outdoors decided to launch a collab with the most popular celeb of the spring season (move over T-Swift & Kelce… the eclipse has the spotlight now),” the company said. “…And just like the eclipse, it won’t be around for long – pre-orders for the Dark Sky Mantis will sunset in just one week.”
TAXA said its new Dark Sky Mantis is inspired by “celestial magic and once-in-a-lifetime moments.” Harkening back to its NASA heritage, TAXA couldn’t resist dropping its limited edition Habitat.
The company’s Mantis is designed for off-road adventures with axle-less suspension, rugged all-terrain tires and articulating Lock ‘N’ Roll hitch. Its newest version includes the Dark Sky colorway with custom matte wrap, limited edition graphics and matching dark wheels.
The Mantis MSRP starts at $45,750 and is 19 feet long to be stored in a standard garage. Other specs include:
- Dry weight: 3,115 pounds
- Sleeps 4-plus adults
- Secure, pop-up roof for optimized ventilation
The Dark Sky Mantis is available for pre-order this week only, April 8-15.
