RV PRO Roundup: Women in the RV Industry

Every March 8, International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide, and in the United States, the entire month of March, Women’s History Month, recognizes the contributions women have made to society. Women’s History Month in the U.S. officially dates back to a single week in March in 1981, “when Congress passed Pub. L. 97-28, which authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982 as ‘Women’s History Week.’”* This annual Women’s History Week continued for the next five years, until 1987, when “being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9, which designated the month of March 1987 as ‘Women’s History Month.’”* Annual proclamations from the president each year have designated March as Women’s History Month since.
