Badass Tents launched its CONVOY model high-performance rooftop tents with classic off-road looks and performance. The company notes that “Discerning outdoor enthusiasts who live the ‘go big or go home’ life will appreciate this next-level tent designed to look like a classic expedition roof rack with features that enhance performance and enjoyment.
Badass Tents said it is out to disrupt the rooftop tent industry with five new patents filed in 2021 on its revolutionary engineering and designs. Prior to the Badass Tent filings, there were only 11 live patents worldwide in the category, according to the company.
Patents include industry-leading features like modular assembly to reduce transport costs, moon roof, a streamlined roof rack design that integrates like it’s a part of the vehicle, utility case design and more.
The company said that all Badass Tents are made-in-the-USA, take just one minute to set up and feature an aerodynamic low-profile design that fits easily in a garage and will have no noticeable wind noise or loss in gas mileage while on the road.
The Badass Tents’ Convoy RTT includes a full 40-inch by 72-inch skyward moonroof with four large windows that give an unobstructed 360-degree view. The Convoy’s ultra-slim profile design built using a high-strength extruded aluminum frame will allow most vehicles to pull into residential garages and parking structures without having to remove the rooftop tent.
