“The results of RVs sold at the wholesale auctions last month were mixed, with motorhomes’ values increasing and towables’ decreasing. This is the sixth straight month of declines for towables, and although motorhomes went up, their overall trend since mid-2022 has been downward. Spring is right around the corner, and the general outlook after many of the recent RV shows has been positive and upbeat,” said Eric Lawrence with Black Book.

Taking a closer look at the markets, we see that the average selling price for motorized units was $62,600 which is up $8,704 (16.1%) from the previous month. Towables came in at $17,877, down $417 (2.3%) from last month. One year ago, the average motorhome sold for $73,411 and the average towable unit brought $19,182.

Auction volume was mixed: motorhomes decreased 6.7% while towables rose 14.7%.

The average age of motorhomes was nine years old (2015) and towables was five (2019).
